Off the radar
Fantastically well played show somehow seemingly missed by the masses (myself included until now) in the sea of 89 goodies. Great jamming pre-drums. Me likey too, althou this one and subsequent shows wouldn't have been lacking had they never rolled out Picasso Moon. This version is extra painful to listen to with Bob screeching like a high school boy having his nuts kicked.

Cold Rain & Snow
I remember this one. It was FREEZING. Rained most of the day, up until almost showtime. The Cold Rain & Snow opener was prefect. The Boys seemed rather energetic that night. Like they were trying hard to keep(all of us) warm.
Great show, great memories.

Great Show
For many years I had only the second set 4-28-89(which I enjoyed very much), and had wondered what the first set sounded like. I'm glad to report the first set is just a nice.
In particular, First set highlights:
Nice opener CRS, very nice Rooster and a really cool/weird/off-beat Little Light. Also, if I'm not mistaken, this is the first Picaso Moon. One of my least favorite Dead creations, but historically noteworthy.
Second Set:
Another nice, fairly unusal, set opener with Crazy Fingers (out of 144 times played, only 9 Second Set openers. Crazy Fingers is much more common as a second song of second set). The highlight of the show for me is the Standing on the Moon. This is my favorite rendition of this ballad. To rap up, they do a nice Sugar Mags, Touch, Mighty Quinn. Brent's harmonys on touch and Mighty Quinn are fabulous.
Summing up, great show, terrific sound quality, and agree with blue, Charlie Miller deserves a round of applause for his efforts. Nearly everything he puts out is close to flawless to my old ears.

It's a Miller
I'm always happy when I see a recording was submitted by Charlie Miller; so many great submissions.
Really liked the performance and was able to enjoy it due to the sound quality.
The only reason I don,t throw five stars at this is that I'm the first reviewer, and I have to consider the more critical reviewers likely issues with things I don't even notice. I get a five star smile just seeing the name Charlie Miller in the submitted by column...And the band played a pretty show with some well placed forgotten lyrics that always tickle the Buzzerd's belly.
